The operations performed were carried out with the aim of preparing the complex to receive the Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft. Its launch is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of this month.

Let us remind you that the Soyuz MS-14 device will deliver the Fedora robot to the ISS, which recently received a new name - Skybot F-850. This anthropomorphic machine will stay in orbit for about two weeks.

It is reported that the propulsion system of the Progress MS-12 cargo ship docked to the Pirs module was used to correct the ISS orbit. The unit was turned on at 08:53 Moscow time.

β€œThe result of operating the engines for 585 seconds was an increase in the station’s speed by 0,58 m/s. At 11:55 Moscow time the engines of the β€œtruck” were switched on again; their operating time was the same 585 seconds. As a result, the station received a speed increase of 0,58 m/s,” says the Roscosmos website.

It should be noted that the upcoming launch of the Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft will be a test for the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle - previously manned vehicles were launched into space using the Soyuz-FG rocket. That is why the ship will go to the ISS in an unmanned version.
