MediaWorkstations has unveiled a unique system called a-XP, a "portable" workstation powered by AMD hardware that delivers superior performance. Possibly the tallest portable system in the world.
The novelty is made in the form of a suitcase with dimensions of 346,2 × 419,4 × 184,4 mm. Weight depending on the configuration ranges from 10,4 to 13,6 kg. Such impressive dimensions and weight are explained by the fact that inside there is a full-fledged computer on the ASRock X399M Taichi motherboard. Available with AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X, Threadripper 3970X, or Threadripper 3960X processor.
For workstation
Various graphics accelerators are available: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 Super, RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2060 Super, as well as Quadro RTX 8000 and Tesla V100.
The novelty has a built-in mechanical keyboard and display, the characteristics of which are not given. Optionally, you can add a 100-Gigabit Ethernet network adapter.
The price of a base a-XP workstation is about $8000. The most complete version will cost more than $20.
