The Yandex company announced the release of an updated mail application for mobile devices: the program has an improved dark theme.
It is noted that now not only the interface, but also the letters themselves are painted in dark gray.
βIn this form, the mail harmoniously combines with other applications in a similar design, as well as with the night mode in the operating system,β says the Russian IT giant.
The dark color scheme provides a number of benefits. In particular, on devices with OLED screens, this mode saves battery power: the darker the color, the less energy is spent on displaying it.
In addition, the screen with letters on a dark background glows much weaker, and the eyes do not get tired of it when working in the dark or in dim lighting.
The dark color scheme will be useful when reading emails in situations where you don't want to disturb other people. It could be, say, watching a movie at the cinema or taking a taxi at night.
To enable the dark theme, you need to select the appropriate item in the settings and restart the application.
