Modding The Witcher 3 - Redux makes Geralt more "witchy"

Modder Alex Vuckovic released a mod The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt called The Witcher 3 - Redux, which changes key elements of the gameplay in accordance with the mythology of the world of The Witcher.

Modding The Witcher 3 - Redux makes Geralt more "witchy"

The modification is aimed at changing the attitude towards elixirs, without which a real witcher cannot do in his work, as well as other elements of the battle. So, in the β€œCombat” skill branch, an amendment was made to adrenaline: in order to balance, the modder made the generation of adrenaline more complicated and simplified its loss. In addition, if you do not invest in this branch of points, then it will be difficult for the character to generate 3 adrenaline points.

The branch "Signs" has also undergone a change. Magic damage has been balanced. Sign effects have also been changed, causing some skills to be reworked. If you do not invest points in this branch, then magic will be less useful than in the original game. If you do the opposite, then the signs will be very powerful.

The toxicity system of the Alchemy branch has been reworked to be more appropriate The Witcher 2: The Assassins of Kings. With the mod, you can no longer get high levels of toxicity and just ingest potions. Instead, you will have to think about which potion and when to take. Given this, elixirs have become more powerful and more useful.

In addition, the modification makes many changes to the characteristics and abilities of people and monsters, scaling the damage of signs, and much more. Vukovic warns that The Witcher 3 - Redux does not work in New Game+ and with existing saves. Modification details can be found at NexusMods.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
