Motorola hinted at the announcement of the second-generation Razr flexible clamshell on September 9

The short video (see below) does not contain information about the model. But it uses the same font as the first generation presentation invitation. According to rumors, the updated Razr 5G will be equipped with a 6,2-inch display, a 48-megapixel camera, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The β€œheart” of the novelty will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor, and the power source will be a 2845 mAh battery.

Motorola made the first attempt to resurrect the once legendary clamshell in a new format in November 2019. The Motorola Razr 2019 was announced in November, but the smartphone went on sale only in February 2020. The device was not successful. Low consumer demand was due to a whole bunch of drawbacks - a high price ($1500), short battery life, a poor camera, a creaky hinge, and an uneven surface of the main screen at the location of this hinge. On September 9, it will become clear whether Motorola was able to fix all the shortcomings.
