Mozilla is testing a paid proxy service to browse sites without ads

Mozilla as part of initiatives creating paid services started testing a new product for Firefox that allows ad-free browsing and promotes an alternative way to fund content creation. The cost of using the service is $4.99 per month.

The main idea is that users of the service are not shown ads on sites, and content creation is funded through a paid subscription. The funds received are distributed among the partner sites participating in the initiative, depending on their demand by users.

Additionally, subscribers are also provided with audio versions of articles, bookmarks synchronized between devices, a recommendation system and an application for finding interesting content. For example, a user can start reading an article at home on a PC, then continue reading on the road on a smartphone, and if he is driving, then switch to audio playback. The service is developed on the basis of the platform developed by the project scroll, on the site of which you can request an invitation to connect.
