Mozilla releases Firefox 66.0.5 fixing extension issue

This update complements Firefox 66.0.4 and is said to finally "fix" the extension issue. According to the update log, the patch brings "additional improvements to re-enable web extensions that have been disabled for users with a master password set."

The company strongly advises you to install the latest build of the browser for regular and ESR versions. To check for an update, go to the Firefox menu > Help > About Firefox.

Earlier appeared information about disabling all extensions in the browser due to an outdated certificate. It is used to generate digital signatures in extensions and should have been replaced, but for some reason this did not happen.

At the same time, temporary solutions soon appeared that made it possible to circumvent the problem. It is important to note that the developers advised not to try to reinstall the extensions, because in this case the settings would be lost.
