DeaDBeeF music player updated to version 1.8.0

The developers have released the release of the music player DeaDBeeF under the number 1.8.0. This player is similar to Aimp for Linux, although it does not support covers. On the other hand, it can be compared to the lightweight player ‎Foobar2000. The player supports automatic transcoding of text encoding in tags, an equalizer, can work with CUE files and Internet radio.

Key innovations include:

  • Opus format support;
  • Search for tracks that need volume normalization and improvement of the normalization system as a whole;
  • Working with CUE format when multiple tracks are in one file. Also improved work with large files;
  • Added support for GBS and SGC formats to Game_Music_Emu;
  • Added a window with a log of information about errors, as well as for multi-line editing of tags. Now the system automatically determines the encoding of the tags;
  • Added the ability to read and write tags, as well as download embedded album art from MP4 files;
  • There was support for moving compositions from deadbeef to other applications in Drag and Drop mode. And in the playlist there was support for copying and pasting through the clipboard;
  • The code for parsing mp3 files has been replaced.
