A special version of Firefox for the tablet appeared on the iPad

Mozilla has made life easier for iPad users. Now a new Firefox browser is available on the tablet, which is specially adapted for this device. In particular, it supports iOS' built-in split-screen functionality and keyboard shortcuts. However, the new browser also implements a user-friendly interface, typical for finger control.

For example, Firefox for iPad now supports displaying tabs as easy-to-read tiles, and private browsing mode is enabled with a single tap in the left corner of the home screen.

The browser also recognizes standard keyboard shortcuts if an external keyboard is connected to the iPad. There is also the possibility of synchronizing tabs between devices. True, this will require an account on the Mozilla server. There is also a dark theme.

β€œWe know that the iPad is not just a bigger version of the iPhone. You use them in different ways, you need them for different things. So instead of just increasing the iOS version of our browser, we've made a dedicated Firefox for iPad,” Mozilla said.

The program itself can be downloaded from the App Store and even set as your default browser using Microsoft Outlook. Although for the time being, completely replacing Safari with Firefox will not work.

Recall that earlier there was information that Firefox 66 does not work with the online version of PowerPoint. The company is already aware of the problem and promises to fix it soon.
