Analysts predict that laptop shipments will jump more than 40% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of this year.
It is noted that currently laptop computers are in demand both for remote work and for remote learning.
As for the personal computer market as a whole, a decline has been recorded. This is due to the fact that corporate customers have frozen or completely canceled equipment upgrade programs.
According to Gartner, 51,6 million personal computers were sold in the first quarter of this year. For comparison: a year earlier, deliveries amounted to 58,9 million units. Thus, the drop was 12,3%. It is noted that this is the most serious reduction in supplies since 2013.
