The technical design of the Russian super-heavy launch vehicle will be completed no earlier than next fall. TASS reports this, citing information received from a source in the domestic space industry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to develop a super-heavy class missile system in 2018. Such a carrier is planned to be used in complex and long-term space missions. This, in particular, could be the exploration of the Moon and Mars, the launch of heavy research vehicles into deep space, etc.

βCurrently, the process of agreeing with the lead developer (RSC Energia) on the requirements of the technical specifications for the technical design of the super-heavy class launch vehicle is underway, according to which the completion of work is scheduled for October 2021,β informed persons said.
Flight tests of the new carrier will begin no earlier than 2028, and the first target launches will be organized after 2030.
