Recall that the ship is designed to deliver people and cargo to the Moon and to near-Earth orbital stations. When developing the device, innovative technical solutions are used, as well as modern systems and units.
So, it is reported that the Acting Director General of the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia named after S.P. Korolev (part of Roskosmos) Igor Ozar appointed Igor Khamits as chief designer for the Eagle program.
Mr. Hamitz was born in 1964. After graduating from the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Moscow Aviation Institute in 1988, he began working at RSC Energia. Since 2007, he has been in charge of the Center for the Design of Space Manned Complexes and Transport Systems.
βDuring his work at the enterprise, he provided the design of the International Space Station and the docking and cargo module. He was directly involved in the design, preparation and launch of the Zvezda and Pirs modules of the Russian segment of the ISS.
We add that the first test launch of Orel is scheduled for 2023. An unmanned flight to the International Space Station should take place in 2024, and a manned flight to the orbital complex - in 2025.
