"Alas. A small particle of something hit the bottom of my Galaxy Fold's display, Fisher said on Tuesday. "I'm sending this back to Samsung in the hope that they can find a way to protect this hinge (from dust)."

Michael Fisher promised to post a YouTube video on Wednesday detailing the problem.

Samsung's troubles with its $1980 Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone came to light last week after reports surfaced that four samples of the novelty sent to reviewers were broken at once. Basically, it was about screen defects that appeared after 1-2 days of using the smartphone. Experts reported flickering, screen off, as well as a mechanical defect - the appearance of a bulge on the display surface.

These issues have overshadowed users' concerns about the possible wrinkling or seam on the Galaxy Fold's display as a result of flexing and unbending when using the smartphone for a long time.
