The Witcher series is based on the novels of Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season will consist of eight episodes, directed by Alik Sakharov (Game of Thrones, Rome), Alex Garcia Lopez (Daredevil, Fear the Walking Dead) and Charlotte Brändström ; "Colony", "The Man in the High Castle"). The series is produced by Lauren Schmidt (The Umbrella Academy, The Defenders).
