Online cinema Netflix has released a Russian-language teaser trailer for The Witcher. It came out almost a month after English version of the video.
Previously, fans of the gaming franchise assumed that Geralt would be voiced by Vsevolod Kuznetsov, who became his voice in video games, but he denied his participation in the project. How DTF, the main character will speak in the voice of Sergei Ponomarev. The actor noted that he does not experience complexes due to voice changes, because the series is not related to the game.
“I assumed that the voice change would cause a certain resonance, but this is a series that has nothing to do with the game. Completely different types. Other situations. Therefore, as a separate product and should be considered. Duckling syndrome, I think, is an extremely negative character trait, ”said Ponomarev.
Before the release of the first trailer, Ponomarev's words were confirmed by the project's showrunner Lauren Hissrich. The screenwriter said that she was guided by the plots of books, not video games.
