Nightdive Reveals Shadow Man Remastered With Updated Graphics You May Not Notice

Nightdive Studios unveiled the gameplay trailer for the first time announced in March adventure action game Shadow Man Remastered. The project is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. This is a revival of the game that was released in 1999.

The original Shadow Man was released by Acclaim Entertainment. The game is based on the comic book Shadowman by Valiant. The plot tells about Mike Leroy, who, in order to prevent the apocalypse, goes to the Kingdom of the Dead to collect Dark Souls.

While you may not notice much of a difference from the original game, Shadow Man Remastered will offer:

  • support for widescreen 4K displays;
  • dynamic display of shadows and lighting;
  • anti-aliasing and other post-processing effects;
  • higher density of particle effects;
  • recycled art material;
  • new sounds and gameplay;
  • content cut from the original game;
  • support for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch controllers;
  • HDR support.

The release of the updated version of Shadow Man is scheduled for 2021. Note that Nightdive Studios is also currently working on a remake of System Shock and previously presented remasters of System Shock, Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Blood and Forsaken.
