“It all started when Guillermo del Toro called me and said, ‘A guy named Hideo Kojima will call you soon. Just say yes." I replied: “Who is this?” He said, 'It doesn't matter, just say yes,'" Norman Reedus said. They met Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear series, at Comic-Con in San Diego. Soon the actor began working with a game designer on Silent Hills, but in the end the project was canceled by Konami. Luckily, Kojima had an idea for another game in his head: Death Stranding. “He showed me what he was working on and I was amazed. I mean this guy is a super genius. So I became friends with him, started working with him, and we kept working,” Reedus said.

Norman Reedus stated that Death Stranding was a huge hit (although Sony Interactive Entertainment never revealed the game's sales). The actor is currently in talks with Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions to work on his next project. According to rumors, the studio deals revival of the Silent Hill series.
