HP will start selling portable computers with a high-quality AMOLED screen in April, according to AnandTech.
AMOLED screens (active matrix based on organic light-emitting diodes) will initially be equipped with two laptops. These are the HP Specter x360 15 and Envy x360 15 models.
These laptops are convertible devices. The display cover can rotate 360 degrees, which allows you to use laptops in tablet mode. Of course, support for touch control is implemented.
It is known that the AMOLED screen size in both cases is 15,6 inches diagonally. The resolution, apparently, is 3840 × 2160 pixels - 4K format.
HP laptops with AMOLED display will reportedly use the Intel Whiskey Lake hardware platform. Laptops (at least in some modifications) will be equipped with a discrete NVIDIA graphics accelerator.
Other technical characteristics are not disclosed yet. But we can assume that the equipment will include a fast solid state drive, a high-quality audio system, USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports.
The operating system Windows 10 will be used as a software platform. There is no information about the estimated price yet.
