QNAP Systems has announced the QXP-10G2U3A expansion card, designed for use in personal computers, workstations and network attached storage (NAS).
The novelty allows you to endow the system with two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. This interface provides throughput up to 10 Gbps.
The card is made on the ASMedia ASM3142 controller. Requires a PCIe Gen2 x2 slot for installation. We are talking about compatibility with software platforms Microsoft Windows 8.x/10, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, as well as QTS 4.3.6 and higher.
The QXP-10G2U3A solution has a low-profile form factor: dimensions are 89,65 Γ 68,9 Γ 14 mm. The scope of delivery includes a full-size and shortened mounting brackets, so that the expansion card can be used in various types of cases.
Among other things, support for the USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) is mentioned, which is designed to increase the speed of data exchange with connected drives.
There is no information about the estimated price of the QXP-10G2U3A card yet.
