New Galaxy Fold issue: Logo peels off on one of the sold smartphones

Probably the most controversial smartphone of this year can be considered the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The South Korean tech giant's first flexible display smartphone is under intense scrutiny and is regularly criticized. Most often, the criticism is deserved, since users who spent $1800 or 159 rubles have the right to expect that the smartphone will be reliable and durable.

New Galaxy Fold issue: Logo peels off on one of the sold smartphones

Despite its high price, the Galaxy Fold continues to have shortcomings. One of the owners of the device posted an image on Twitter showing that the letters β€œA” and β€œU” included in the manufacturer’s name and located on the front side of the device simply came off. Of course, putting the company name on the body of the device is not a unique design decision. Samsung has used this method before, placing the brand name on devices using colorful or reflective letters. It is unknown why the letters began to peel off and how long the device was in use.

Considering that the Galaxy Fold went on sale only recently, it is unlikely that the user who posted the photo has owned the smartphone for more than a month. Letters falling off the body cannot be called a complex engineering problem, like flaws in the design of the folding mechanism that were identified earlier. Most likely, the problem arose because the manufacturer did not pay enough attention to detail. However, even such a small thing can damage the reputation of Samsung devices. It is possible that Galaxy Fold users will discover other defects in the device in the future.
