Despite the almost identical name, the same display diagonal and the general commitment to Huawei mobile services, the differences between Huawei Y8p and Huawei Y6p and in characteristics, and even in concept, are more than common. Let's talk about each of the smartphones separately.
Huawei Y8p is an unusual by today's standards, relatively small, thin and elegant smartphone. Despite the screen of a rather large diagonal (6,3 inches), it retained propriety in size: firstly, due to the minimal frames around the display (the percentage of the occupied front surface is not specified, but the number is clearly more than 80%), and secondly, thanks to thin faces, thirdly, we say thanks to the slightly curved edges of the back. Be that as it may, it is pleasant to hold the Huawei Y8s in your hand, and the gadget weighing 163 grams is almost not felt in your pocket.
Despite the slightly outdated design of the front panel with a waterdrop notch, Huawei Y8p looks good thanks to the design of glass in front and behind and polished metal-like plastic around the perimeter. The three-chamber block is also inscribed neatly and tastefully. There are three color versions of Huawei Y8p: light blue, midnight black and, sold exclusively in the company's online store, emerald green.
Another unusual detail for a smartphone of this price category is the AMOLED display. The only company that consistently puts organic LED screens in its low-cost smartphones is Samsung. Now Huawei joins the Koreans - Y8p is a pioneer model in this respect. And here it’s not just OLED, but with a high resolution (2400 × 1080), so even in theory you shouldn’t worry about the Pentile image crumbling into subpixels. In practice, all the more there are no problems: the image is sharp, clear and full-color. True, PWM is noticeable when the brightness is lowered to the minimum marks, but a similar problem occurs with expensive OLEDs.
Well, the third distinguishing feature of Huawei Y8p is a fingerprint scanner built into the surface of the screen. If in terms of OLED and compactness you can still find some analogues, then the Y8p got a feature that only smartphones that cost at least twice as much can boast. I wouldn’t say that it’s worth unconditionally rejoicing at this - the optical sensor does not respond to the touch of wet fingers and works noticeably slower than the traditional capacitive one on the rear panel of the Y6p, but this at least allows you to leave the back more accurate, without unnecessary inserts.

Huawei Y6p - smart phone is faster. From the “face” it is almost impossible to distinguish between Y8p and Y6p, unless you include a contrasting picture: the same cutouts, screens of the same diagonal, except that the Y8p has slightly thinner frames and an OLED screen instead of an LCD.
But otherwise, the Huawei Y6p is noticeably different: there is a thicker body (thanks to a capacious 5000 mAh battery), and a back without curved edges, and a larger three-chamber unit with a separate flash, and a fingerprint scanner on this very back.

The smartphone is decorated with plastic both around the edges and on the back panel (but it is difficult to distinguish it from glass, of course), and, despite the seemingly small difference in size from the Y8p, it feels like a noticeably larger gadget, it is not so comfortable to hold it in your hand .

The camera is also simpler: the triple block includes a 13-megapixel main module, a 5-megapixel wide-angle and a depth sensor. Sales of Huawei Y6p will start on June 5 at a price of 10 rubles.
