A new version of the Russian distribution kit Astra Linux Common Edition (CE), release "Eagle" has been released. Astra Linux CE is positioned by the developer as a general-purpose OS. The distribution is based on Debian, and Fly's own development environment is used as a graphical environment. In addition, there are many graphical utilities to simplify system and hardware setup. The distribution is commercial, but the CE edition is available free of charge for non-commercial use.
Major changes:
- HiDPI support;
- grouping running applications on the taskbar:
- the ability to disable the logo on the wallpaper;
- for the kiosk mode, the ability to set parameters separately for each application has been added;
- fly-fm file manager improvements;
- a repository editor has been added to the system update utility;
- ISO image size reduced from 4,2 GB to 3,75 GB;
- added new packages to the repository and updated more than 1000;
- the Linux 4.19 kernel has been added to the repository (4.15 remains the default kernel).
