New Prison Architect expansion lets you build your own Alcatraz

Paradox Interactive and Studio Double Eleven have announced an expansion to Prison Architect prison escape simulator called Island Bound. It will release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on June 11th.

Prison Architect was released in 2015. Since then, the indie game has been able to attract more than four million gamers. The project was originally developed by Introversion Software, but in 2019 Paradox Interactive has acquired the rights to Prison Architect and outsourced the creation of the extensions to Double Eleven. These additions keep the game interesting and give buyers a reason to return to the simulator.

As the name implies, Island Bound will allow you to create a prison on the island - your own Alcatraz. You can also add ferry and helicopter transport hubs to the prison to help transport supplies and prisoners. But they are also a great opportunity to escape.

And recently, the Cleared for Transfer extension was released, which allows you to transfer prisoners from one sector to another and adjust the access level and privileges of certain zones. This encourages prisoners to seek placement in the blocks they desire. Extension for free for PC users.
