Sources in the rocket and space industry, according to RIA Novosti, announced the launch date of new communications and broadcasting satellites of the Express series.
We are talking about the Express-80 and Express-103 devices. They are created by JSC "ISS" ("Information Satellite Systems" named after Academician M.F. Reshetnev) by order of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Space Communications".
It was initially assumed that these satellites would be launched into orbit before the end of this year. However, the launch dates were subsequently revised.
Now it is said that the devices will go to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the second half of February of the coming year. The launch is tentatively scheduled for March 30.
The new satellites are designed to provide fixed and mobile communications services, digital television and radio broadcasting, high-speed Internet access, as well as data transmission in Russia and the CIS countries.
