Card RPG roguelike Dicey Dungeons will be released in August 13th. It is being developed by Terry Cavanagh, creator of VVVVVV and Super Hexagon.
The player will have to choose one of six large dice and try to conquer the ever-changing procedurally generated dungeon, fighting opponents, collecting trophies and trying to get to the main enemy - Lady Luck (Lady Luck).
There are six classes in total: warrior, thief, robot, jester, inventor and sorcerer. Their abilities are different, but the battles follow the same scenario - with throwing dice and playing cards, depending on which number fell out during the next move.
The author promises dozens of types of enemies, "from vacuum cleaners that want to suck your blood to creatures of Irish mythology," and endless possibilities for replays. The music is composed by composer Chipzel, with whom Kavanaugh previously worked on Super Hexagon.
