Sberbank announced the launch of a new service that will give users the opportunity to pay for purchases using a smartphone in a new way - using a QR code.
The system was called "Pay QR". To work with it, it is enough to have a mobile device with the Sberbank Online application installed. The presence of the NFC module is not required.
Payment by QR code enables Sberbank customers to make non-cash payments at points where there is no traditional acquiring. In turn, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to accept non-cash payments from customers without additional equipment. The service is said to help retail outlets increase sales.
To use the system, it is enough for the seller to have a QR code from Sberbank, which the buyer scans with the camera of his smartphone through the Sberbank Online application. The system is easy to use for all participants in the process.
