Publisher Deep Silver and German studio King Art have unveiled a trailer for the dieselpunk RTS Iron Harvest set in an alternate 1920s. Previously released videos dedicated to factions (reminiscent of a mixture of the Russian Empire and the USSR in an alternative past) and (rethought Germany). A trailer has now been released focusing on Polania (dieselpunk Poland).
There is no gameplay here, and the entire video called "The Art of War" consists essentially of a single drawing: the camera shows different parts of it with a voice-over narrating the plot. According to the story, in 1920 the smoke of the Great War still hovered over the beautiful fields of Polania. After the invasion of the superior troops of the neighboring states of Saxony and Rusvet, death and devastation engulfed the once flourishing area.
However, Polania's resistance has not yet been broken: the brave rebels strike back with all their might. In the face of extermination, they united under the flag of Polania to save their homeland. The brave defenders resist against all odds and force the invaders to stop their advance.
Polania plays her cards right, focusing on the smallest robots like the PZM-9 Straznik, a light mobile machine with a high movement speed and rate of fire. Polania also has a giant walker PZM-24 Tur - the pride of the republic. It is armed with two powerful anti-tank guns and anti-personnel artillery.
However, the PZM-7 Smialy vehicles are the real backbone of Polania's armed forces - they are distinguished by their high speed, which allows them to actively use reconnaissance tactics, as well as surprise attacks and quick retreats. Its anti-tank gun has an enviable range and is suitable for hitting targets at a distance. The machine can also be used to exterminate enemies with a massive bayonet.
The war is raging, and more is at stake than meets the eye. Players are invited to join the heroes of all three factions in Iron Harvest and plunge into a conflict that will determine the future of humanity and change history in an alternate 1920+ universe.
An open beta version is already available (Russian text localization was recently added to it). The full launch of Iron Harvest on PC is scheduled for September 1 at the sites , ΠΈ . The release of the console version (so far only options for PS4 and Xbox One have been announced) is scheduled for early 2021.
