On April 18, representatives of the Taiwan National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) under the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology and NVIDIA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote autonomous driving technologies.

Science Minister Chen Liang-gee, who attended the ceremony, urged local firms, start-ups and academics to join the government-backed ecosystem initiative to help the autonomous driving industry as soon as possible.

Under the agreement, NVIDIA will make its Drive Constellation and Drive Sim platforms available for use by the Taiwan Automotive Lab, opened by NARLabs in February 2019.
