NVIDIA unveils GeForce 445.87 with optimizations for new games including Minecraft RTX
NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce Software 445.87 WHQL. The key purpose of the driver is to optimize for fresh games. We are talking about Minecraft with support for RTX ray tracing, a remake of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shooter, a remaster of the action movie Saints Row: The Third, and off-road driving simulator MudRunner from Saber Interactive.
In addition, the driver brings support for three new displays that have been tested to the G-Sync Compatible standard to keep the refresh rate in sync with the frame rate of games. These are monitors Acer XB273GP, Acer XB323U and ASUS VG27B.
In addition to optimizations for games, GeForce 445.87 brings a number of bug fixes:
blue screen after 5-10 minutes when playing on GeForce RTX 2080 Ti in Rise Of The Tomb Raider under DirectX 12;
Π² Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Vulkan mode with G-Sync enabled causes flickering after switching between full screen and windowed modes.
GeForce driver 445.87 WHQL is dated April 12 and is available for download in 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows 10 from NVIDIA website or by updating through the GeForce Experience app.
