NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce Software 445.87 WHQL. The key purpose of the driver is to optimize for fresh games. We are talking about Minecraft with support for RTX ray tracing, a remake of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shooter, a remaster of the action movie Saints Row: The Third, and off-road driving simulator MudRunner from Saber Interactive.
In addition, the driver brings support for three new displays that have been tested to the G-Sync Compatible standard to keep the refresh rate in sync with the frame rate of games. These are monitors Acer XB273GP, Acer XB323U and ASUS VG27B.
In addition to optimizations for games, GeForce 445.87 brings a number of bug fixes:
- blue screen after 5-10 minutes when playing on GeForce RTX 2080 Ti in under DirectX 12;
- black flickers in ;
- DirectX 11 games do not launch when image sharpening is enabled from the NVIDIA Control Panel.
- artifacts on laptops after waking up from sleep.
NVIDIA specialists continue to work on eliminating other shortcomings:
- on laptops in H-Clone mode, display settings cannot be changed from the NVIDIA control panel;
- artifacts on GeForce 1050 Ti Max-Q laptops after waking up from sleep.
- artifacts in SLI mode in Doom Eternal when rendering the Steam UI layer;
- Π² ΠΈ games look too bright in HDR mode;

GeForce driver 445.87 WHQL is dated April 12 and is available for download in 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows 10 or by updating through the GeForce Experience app.
