NVIDIA Introduces RTX Voice App to Suppress Extraneous Noise in Conversations

In today's realities, when many of us work from home, it becomes quite obvious that many computers are equipped with very mediocre microphones. But even worse, many homes lack a quiet environment conducive to audio and video conferencing. To solve this problem, NVIDIA introduced the RTX Voice software tool.

The new application is not related to ray tracing, as the name might suggest. But the RTX Voice utility does use the tensor cores of GeForce RTX graphics cards and artificial intelligence technologies to suppress noise. Thanks to this, it is able to eliminate various noises surrounding the user, broadcasting to your interlocutors the clear sound of your voice.

The RTX Voice utility also has a second function. It is able to clean with the help of AI not only the user's voice transmitted to the interlocutors, but also incoming audio signals before they are output to speakers or headphones.

NVIDIA's RTX Voice app is compatible with the following apps:

  • OBS Studio
  • XSplit Broadcaster
  • XSplit Gamecaster
  • TwitchStudio
  • Discord
  • Google Chrome
  • Webex
  • Skype or Whatsapp
  • Zoom
  • Slack

However, NVIDIA notes that users may experience RTX Voice crashes in the last four applications. Yet, first of all, this technology is intended for players and streamers. Nevertheless, colleagues from the Tom's Hardware resource quickly tested the operation of the new NVIDIA tool, and got a completely satisfying result.
