About increasing the comfort of living on Habré - another possible recipe

In addition to the hottest article on Habré - Habr's Karmic Curseand I want reviews on Habr.
At first I wanted to add a comment, but still there is not enough commentary to describe the situation and details. The result was a short note. Maybe someone will be interested.

Let me suggest one more recipe - to increase the level of comfortable living on Habré, it is enough to launch a tool that has long been implemented in all social networks - black list.

Hypothesis

All problems with karma and the subsequent restriction of the ability to comment and write articles are related to begin after a point of view is expressed that is different from the generally accepted one on Habré.

In my opinion, there can be no objections to this hypothesis, judging by the comments to the first article, this is a common thing. The hypothesis has been proven repeatedly.

How to avoid the described situation?
In the current configuration, there is only one recipe -generally do not comment on materials whose topic causes conflicting feelings.
But it is difficult, because psychology is sometimes stronger. As it was said - "Plato is my friend, but ...".
The bad consequences of draining karma were also indicated, in the above articles, the authors leave, the picture of the world on Habré is artificially edited, as a result, the point of view that is beneficial to the majority wins, and as we know from the history of science, the majority is not always right. Moreover, remembering Galileo, Copernicus and Einstein - the majority is always wrong (at first).

But, the situation can be relatively quite easily corrected - it is enough to do what has been done in social networks for a long time - to segment users and allow them to create their own comfortable information world.

Current situation :

  1. User А encounters a user comment B
  2. А expresses the opposite opinion B
  3. If the user's opinion А coincides with the trend on Habré, А will collect pluses and increase karma, B experience psychological stress. The reverse is also true, of course.

Now suppose there is a mechanism blacklist:

  1. User А encounters a user comment B.
  2. А puts B into a black list
  3. А will not see further comments (materials) B.

Addendum: if А wants to start a discussion and try once again to prove something in Runet, he starts a dispute, and the situation will develop similarly to the previous case.

The positive consequences are many.

  1. Psychological stress disappears as a fact.
  2. Whoever wants to lead a discussion continues to lead and takes risks.
  3. Pointed and blunt-pointed people live in parallel comfortable informational worlds and do not violate each other's informational comfort.
  4. Site traffic does not change in any way, no one leaves.

Idea development:

  1. Allow karma change and user rating only for non-blacklisted users.
  2. Finally, do not hide user materials from the black list, but make a separate “hidden” tab, for example. But hidden materials, only read, do not comment.

PS
Negative consequences after the introduction of the blacklist, I have not yet been able to think of. Maybe add in the comments.

Only registered users can participate in the survey. Sign in, you are welcome.

In your opinion, would the blacklist on Habré be useful?
