About the weak-blooded in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

In Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, you start the game as a newcomer thinblood. This is a group of low-ranking vampires that has the weakest abilities and is significantly inferior in strength to the representatives of the clans. But among the weak-blooded, you will not stay long, because as you progress, you will join one of the five clans of the Kindred.

In the "World of Darkness" universe, the Kindred treat the weak-blooded as second-class creatures. At the same time, the head of Seattle treats them with extraordinary tolerance. At the time of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, the city is ruled by the Camarilla, which gives lesser vampires a chance to succeed.

At the beginning of the passage, you will need to choose for your hero the discipline of the weak-blooded - Chiropteran, Mentalism and Nebulation - straight from the original board game. It will determine the vampire's movement and combat abilities, which can be upgraded over time.

“Each of the disciplines has two active moves and three passive upgrades.

chiropteran

The resemblance to bats allows the vampire to move through the air and summon swarms.

  • Glide is the first active move. Greatly reduces the weight of a vampire's skeletal and muscle mass, allowing them to glide for a short time to reach inaccessible surfaces, attack NPCs to knock them down, or operate other abilities from afar.
  • Bat Swarm is another active move. The vampire can summon a swarm of bats to attack enemies, temporarily disabling them from combat and dealing minor damage along the way. This ability can be upgraded to Maelstrom. In this case, the vampire is enveloped in the wings of many bats, attacking and damaging anyone in dangerous proximity.

Mentalism

With the help of telekinesis, the vampire can manipulate objects and even snatch weapons from the hands of opponents.

  • Pull is the first active move. Allows telekinetic manipulation of inanimate objects, including weapons wielded by enemies.
  • Levitate is the second active ability. Lifts a living character into the air. The power of the move can be increased to such an extent that the vampire can lift everything around him into the air or throw enemies like rag dolls.

Nebulation

An ability that allows the vampire to create and manipulate mist.

  • Mist Shroud is the first active ability. Creates a mist that envelops the character for a short time. The fog muffles the sound of footsteps and reduces the distance from which the character can be seen. In addition, the vampire can partially transform into a cloud of mist to perform a choke attack or to slip into tight passages and narrow passages, such as ventilation or air ducts.
  • Envelop is the second active ability. Creates a static, swirling cloud of fog at the target location that surrounds, blinds, and penetrates the lungs of an NPC that touches it.
