An update to the Static Linux distribution has been published, based on the Alpine Linux package base and offering an environment based on the Linux 6.1.60 kernel, the Musl standard library and the BusyBox toolkit. The graphical environment is based on the Labwc composite server using Wayland, the CoreFM file manager, the CoreImage image viewer, the CorePad text editor, the CoreTerminal terminal emulator and the mpv video player. The package also includes utilities for data recovery (ddrescue, testdisk, photorec).
The kernel and root file system are compiled into a single file to run on systems with UEFI (Secure Boot is not supported). To install, just download the file bootx64.efi (84 MB) and place it in the /efi/boot/ directory on the disk with the FAT32 file system. At the moment, 267 packages are statically assembled, but their number is planned to increase.
