Firefox Update 89.0.1

A correction release of Firefox 89.0.1 is available, offering several fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where scrollbars would not work correctly on the Linux platform when using some GTK themes.
  • Resolved performance and stability issues with the WebRender compositing system on the Linux platform.
  • Regressive changes related to fonts have been fixed. The gfx.e10s.font-list.shared setting is enabled by default, saving approximately 500 KB of memory per content process.
  • In macOS, an issue with screen flickering when scrolling on an external monitor has been resolved.
  • In the Windows version, the problem with screen readers not working correctly has been resolved.
  • Fixed a vulnerability (CVE-2021-29968) that causes data to be read from an area outside the buffer boundary when rendering text characters in the Canvas element. The problem only appears on the Windows platform when WebRender is disabled.
