Mozilla has published a corrective release of the Firefox 98.0.1 browser, the most notable change in which was the removal of Yandex and Mail.ru from the list of search engines available for use as search providers. The reasons for the removal are not explained.
In addition, Yandex was no longer used in Russian-language and Turkish builds, in which it was offered by default in accordance with a previously concluded agreement on the transfer of search traffic. Yandex and Mail.ru will also be removed from Firefox installations where they were manually selected by users.
