Thunderbird 78.1 email client update to include OpenPGP support

Available mail client release Thunderbird 78.1, developed by the community and based on Mozilla technologies. Thunderbird 78 based on the ESR release codebase Firefox 78. Release available for direct only downloading, automatic updates from past releases will only be generated in version 78.2.

The new version is recognized as suitable for wide use and support is activated by default. end-to-end encryption correspondence and certification of letters with a digital signature based on OpenPGP public keys. Previously, this functionality was provided by the Enigmail add-on, which has been deprecated in the Thunderbird 78 branch. The built-in implementation is a new development, which was prepared with the participation of the Enigmail author. The main difference is the use of the library RNP, which provides OpenPGP functionality instead of invoking the external GnuPG utility, as well as using its own keystore, which is not compatible with the GnuPG key file format and uses a master password for protection, the same as that used to protect accounts and S / MIME keys.

Other changes include the addition of a search field in the settings tab and the disabling of the dark background in the message reading interface. The interface for using OpenPGP has been expanded with a Key Wizard and the ability to search for OpenPGP keys online. Updated address book transfer interface. Improved dark theme support. Fixed startup performance issue when there are a large number of color labels on mail folders (previously configured colors will not be migrated to 78.1).
