VirtualBox 7.1.10 update

Oracle has published a corrective release of the VirtualBox 7.1.10 virtualization system, which contains 9 changes.

  • The Linux Host and Guest Additions add initial support for the Linux 6.15 kernel. Resolved issues building modules for packages with the UEK8 (Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel) kernel used in the Oracle Linux 9 distribution.
  • In the add-ons for Linux-based host systems, a crash of the VM Selector process due to missing libdl.so and libpthread.so libraries has been fixed. The libIDL library has been removed from the build dependencies.
  • The Linux Guest Additions have been updated to support the upcoming 6.16 kernel.
  • On Windows hosts, issues with switching audio devices have been fixed and VBoxManage has been prevented from crashing when running the 'guestcontrol run' command.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented pasting data from the clipboard into a guest system accessed via the RDP protocol.
