Windows 10 update fixes old bugs, but brings new ones

Microsoft Corporation released an early version of Windows 10 November 2019 Update with build number 18362.10024. It is available to Insiders in the Slow Ring and includes all fixes, including KB4517389, as well as functional updates. As noted, this patch should help insiders migrate to build 19H2.

At the same time, participants in early testing note that the company has finally managed to increase stability and get rid of bugs, at least those known at the moment. And although there is still time before the release of the final version, in fact, build 18362.10024 is already “almost a release” of 19H2.

But, as traditionally happens, everything turned out to be not too good. Latest Intel Graphics Driver Update caused crashes on a number of laptops. The HP ProBook 450 G6 models were hit.

As noted, the aforementioned update KB4517389, which includes Display Driver Update 26.20.100.7157, leads in some cases to a black screen in the Chrome browser, and in Edge, images and search strings begin to get confused.

There is no official decision from the company yet, so it is recommended to remove the update and pause it for 35 days, which will give Microsoft time to develop a “cure.”

By the way, the same update KB4517389 earlier led to to a critical error in the Start menu, Microsoft Edge installation error and other problems. Redmond has already acknowledged these glitches and stated that they will release fixes by the end of the month. Obviously, we should expect solutions to problems with Intel graphics at the same time.
