World War Z Update: Horde Mode & Zombie Bomber, Crossplay Coming Early 2020

World War Z has received regular updates since launch, bringing new maps, modes, weapons, skills, cosmetics, and more to the game. The latest update introduces the Horde mode and a new type of zombie - the Bomber.

The Bomber is the result of a military demolition expert being turned into a zombie. These new and volatile monsters will not only make the gameplay more difficult, but also give you the opportunity to get additional loot. To avoid the Bomber's explosion, you must shoot at safe places on his body, such as his legs. If you succeed, then bombs tied to zombies can be defused, for which the game will reward you with valuable loot - which is not specified.

Focus Home Interactive has also confirmed that cross-platform multiplayer will be coming to World War Z in early 2020.

World War Z was released on April 16, 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
