NOTE Studio 25.0

A new version of OBS Studio, 25.0, has been released.

OBS Studio is an open source and free streaming and recording software licensed under the GPL v2. The program supports various popular services: YouTube, Twitch, DailyMotion and others using the RTMP protocol. The program runs under the most popular operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS.

OBS Studio is a significantly revised version of the Open Broadcasting Software program, the main difference from the original is cross-platform. Along with support for Direct3D, there is also support for OpenGL, the functionality can be easily extended with plugins. Implemented support for hardware acceleration, on-the-fly transcoding, game streaming.

Major changes:

  • Added the ability to capture screen content from games using Vulkan.
  • A new method has been added to capture the contents of browser windows, browser-based applications and UWP (Universal Windows Platforms).
  • Added playback control using hotkeys.
  • Added import of extended scene collections from other streaming programs (menu "Scene Collection -> Import").
  • Added the ability to drag and drop URLs to create sources with a browser.
  • Added support for SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol.
  • Added the ability to display all sound sources in advanced settings.
  • Added support for CUBE LUT files in LUT filters.
  • Added support for devices that can automatically rotate the output when the camera orientation changes (such as the Logitech StreamCam).
  • Added the ability to limit the volume for sound sources in the context menu in the mixer.
