Β«The Sims 4 also continues to be an incredible long-term service with a growing audience,” said CEO Andrew Wilson. The monthly average player count has risen over 40% year-on-year in The Sims 4, and this has propelled The Sims franchise to reach $5 billion in its lifetime. The Sims continues to be one of the great video game franchises and we have plans to bring new experiences to our amazing players for a long time to come."

Wilson did not reveal details of long-term support, although it was later mentioned in a report that The Sims 4 would receive some Christmas content this year. This fits in with the broader strategy of Electronic Arts, in which the company  will focus on long-term support for their games in the coming years.

Support for The Sims will be expressed in other ways - for example, Electronic Arts will release the game on Steam. Additionally, EA Maxis Senior Producer Michael Duke рассказал in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz in August that the team could easily plan The Sims 4 expansions for years to come.

But The Sims 4 is unlikely to come to Nintendo Switch. Andrew Wilson in a previous report сказалthat the game might not be the most suitable for that console as the audience "prefers to play [on other platforms]". You can buy The Sims 4 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
