Weird Pixels in Stranger Things 3: The Game Launch Trailer for PC and Consoles

The launch of the third season of the retro series “Stranger Things” from Netflix has taken place – the grown-up heroes are already struggling with otherworldly forces, monsters, the government and the usual teenage problems. As promised in April, the themed game Stranger Things 3: The Game from BonusXP, which is also made in a nostalgic pixel-isometric style, was released at the same time.

The trailer reveals that there are 12 characters in the series (and showcases the features and abilities of each of them), and you can explore the world of Hawkins, solve puzzles and fight evil in cooperative mode, teaming up with a friend. Unfortunately, only local co-op is available.

Some of the characters are new characters from the third season. The video also shows the collection of materials, the manufacture of improvements. In addition to the events of the third season of the series, the game will tell some additional stories. Originally Stranger Things 3: The Game was presented at the GDC 2019 Game Developers Conference.

The adventure was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (available for macOS and Windows on Steam for ₽1303). Unfortunately, the promised simplified version of Stranger Things: The Game for iOS and Android has not yet been presented - even the release date has not yet been announced. By the way, this is not the first game adaptation of the series - in 2017 out a retro action adventure Stranger Things: The Game for iOS and Android, which also used pixel art. There were plans and on Telltale Games' creation of an interactive series for Netflix based on Stranger Things, but they remained unrealized.
