Another update of Astra Linux Common Edition 2.12.40

Astra Linux Group of Companies has released another update for the release of Astra Linux Common Edition 2.12.40

In updates:

  • Updated image kernel 5.4 installation disk with improved support for 10th generation processors from Intel and AMD, GPU drivers.

User Interface Improvements:

  • added 2 new color schemes: light and dark (fly-data);

  • redesigned the design of the "Shutdown" dialog (fly-shutdown-dialog);

  • improvements in the new login theme: added support for domains, tokens (fly-qdm);

  • improved work with multi-monitor configurations (fly-wm);

  • added support for applications that use KDE plugins (actions "send" from KDE), accelerated work with SMB resources (fly-fm);

  • optimized placement of application buttons when there is not enough space on the taskbar (with the ability to scroll through the rows (fly-wm);

  • it is possible to call the external drive formatting dialog from a pop-up window (fly-reflex);

  • date and clock widget updated, integration with fly-admin-time (fly-admin-date) application added;

  • Added environment variable FLY_SHARED_DESKTOP_DIR ( /usr/share/fly-wm/shareddesktop) to centrally place shortcuts on the desktops of all users;

A graphical interface has been implemented for new applications and previously available OS functions:

  • fly-admin-format - an application for formatting USB drives, with support for fast and full modes;

  • fly-admin-usbip - an application for mounting usb devices over a network based on the usbip service;

  • fly-admin-multiseat is an application with a graphical mode for setting up simultaneous work of several employees with shared profiles on one PC;

  • fly-csp-cryptopro, formerly fly-csp is a utility for creating and verifying the electronic signature of the CryptoPro provider;

  • fly-admin-time - an application for selecting NTP servers and configuring time synchronization services;

  • fly-admin-int-check - added the ability to include specific directories in the list excluded from the integrity check;

  • fly-admin-ltsp - in the application for deploying the LTSP terminal server, the ability to reconfigure dnsmasq has been added, the function for setting up auto-mounting of USB media and remote connection has been improved;

  • fly-admin-smc - for the graphic kiosk, the ability to disable the power saving mode and screen lock has been implemented;

  • fly-admin-printer - improved search for hplip drivers, which allows you to more accurately determine the Hewlett Packard printer model and select the correct driver;

  • fly-admin-repo - implemented auto-detection of the name, architecture and components of the created repository, added the ability to sign the apt repository;

  • fly-admin-winprops. Enabled window options "do not show in tray" and "forced decorations" (relevant for GTK3 applications), as well as start "in full screen mode".
