Octopath Traveler - plus Denuvo, minus regional prices

Publisher Square Enix has published the system requirements for the PC version of the JRPG Octopath Traveler, and at the same time upset the players on several fronts at once.

Octopath Traveler - plus Denuvo, minus regional prices

Firstly, the Denuvo copy protection system was built into the game. Secondly, Square Enix, for some incomprehensible reason, completely abandoned regional prices and, apparently, tied the cost of the PC version to the price on the Nintendo Switch - Octopath Traveler costs 4499 rubles on both platforms. Judging by the flurry of messages on the Steam forum (there is even price plate), this situation has developed in all countries where there are separate regional prices for the PC version. At the time of writing, Square Enix has not commented on the situation.
