The cinematic showed the culture of the Vikings, battles with the British and the use of a hidden blade. Viewers were also told that the game will release in late 2020 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
The published trailer begins with a demonstration of a settlement in Scandinavia. Then the main character Eivor appears in the frame - a great warrior and leader of the Vikings. He goes through some kind of ritual and goes with his fighters on ships to England. In parallel, the audience is shown the life of the Vikings, showing them as a noble people who are not alien to the concept of honor. The footage shown is accompanied by the voice of the British king preparing to declare war on the invaders.
When Eivor and his warriors sail to the shores of England, they are met by enemy troops. A bloody and brutal battle ensues, during which the protagonist sees the figure of Odin. The protagonist inspires his wards and enters into battle with a powerful enemy, clad in heavy armor. The enemy outnumbered the leader of the Vikings in strength, struck him a couple of strong blows and was preparing to cut his throat, but the main character used a hidden blade and won.
The synopsis for Assassin's Creed Valhalla reads: "Play as Eivor, a Viking who has been groomed from childhood to become a fearless warrior. You have to lead your clan from lifeless icy Norway to find a new home in the fertile lands of England in the XNUMXth century. You must establish a village and curb this unruly land by any means necessary to secure your place in Valhalla. In those days, England is a lot of warring kingdoms. The lands where real chaos reigns are waiting for a new ruler to conquer them. Perhaps you will be?"
Simultaneously with the demonstration of the trailer on information about the main features of the project. During the passage of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, users will have to travel through the lands of England, raid Saxon fortresses for the sake of extracting resources and participate in fierce battles. The developers have implemented "realistic battles" in the project, in which you can use different weapons: axes, dual swords, a hidden blade, and so on. Ubisoft has also announced that Valhalla has solid RPG mechanics. Apparently, we are talking about pumping, choosing replicas in dialogues and, possibly, different options for completing tasks.
The next mechanic in the game will be the development of the settlement: users will build a variety of buildings to open useful options. And in Valhalla, you can share a sort of clone of your character with other players so that they take it to battles in private sessions. Thanks to this feature, the hero will be able to gain additional experience.
Secondary activities in Assassin's Creed Valhalla also abound. The list includes hunting, drinking with comrades and fluting - a traditional Scandinavian contest with the exchange of barbs.
Users can already pre-order the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It is sold in three versions - Standard, Gold (includes the season pass) and Ultimate (season pass + Ultimate pack). Pre-ordering Assassin's Creed Valhalla will give customers access to the Path of the Berserker side mission.
