Official: E3 2020 canceled

ESA statement: "After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in the industry - our fans, our employees, our attendees and our longtime partners - we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020."

β€œGiven the heightened and overwhelming concern about COVID-19, we felt this is the best way to act in this unprecedented global situation,” ESA said. We are very disappointed that we were not able to host this event for our fans. But we know it's the right decision based on the information we have today."

The Entertainment Software Association is currently "exploring options with exhibitors to coordinate online broadcasts to showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020."
