Official: Action RPG Fairy Tail will not be released in June due to coronavirus

As expected, the new delay will be only a month: Fairy Tail is now scheduled to premiere on July 30th. However, this date is relevant only for Europe and Japan, because the game will appear in North America. a day later.

The postponement, as is often the case now, is directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gust studio apologized to fans and assured that they were already putting the “finishing touches” on the game.

"The development team is hard at work during this unprecedented period to bring a magical Japanese RPG experience to fans around the world," Studio Gust assured the community.

Fairy Tail is not the only "victim" of COVID-19 among Japanese games. Earlier, due to the pandemic, the release of Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road had to be postponed (on indefinite term), Guilty Gear –Strive– (on the beginning of the year 2021) and PC version Death Stranding (on July 14).

However, the transfer pandemic swept through not only projects from the Land of the Rising Sun: Wasteland 3, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break and others will miss the deadline due to COVID-19.

Fairy Tail is being developed for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Initially, the game was supposed to be released on March 19, but in February the release was postponed, because the authors did not have time to polish and properly balance the project.
