Mozilla VPN officially launched

Mozilla Company commissioned service mozilla-vpn, which allows you to organize the work of up to 5 user devices via VPN at a price of $4.99 per month. Access to Mozilla VPN is currently open to users from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia. The VPN app is only available for Windows, Android, and iOS. Support for Linux and macOS is expected to be added at a later date. Connection to the service is made using the protocol wire guard.

The service is supported by about 280 servers of the Swedish VPN provider Mullvadhosted in over 30 countries. Mullvad committed to fulfill recommendations Mozilla privacy policy, do not track network requests and do not save information about any form of user activity in the logs.

The service can be useful when working in networks that are not trustworthy, for example, when connecting through public wireless access points, or if you want not to show your real IP address, for example, to hide the address from sites and advertising networks that select content depending on visitor location.
