Redmi CEO Lu Weibing recently said on the Chinese social network Weibo that the company will soon announce the name of its upcoming flagship smartphone. A short time later, Mr. Weibing stated on Weibo that the Redmi K20 is a flagship killer and added that the K series will include performance-focused flagship phones. The letter K in the title stands for Killer.

Unfortunately, the company has yet to announce a launch date for the smartphone (or even two). There is a possibility that the device may be presented towards the end of the month in China. As mentioned, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are expected to be unveiled, with one of these handsets possibly entering the international market as the Pocophone F2.

According to rumors, Redmi K20 Pro will receive a single-chip Snapdragon 855 system, a 6,39-inch FHD + resolution display without cutouts and a built-in fingerprint scanner, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protective glass, a triple rear camera (48-megapixel with a conventional lens, 8- MP - with ultra wide-angle and 16 MP - with telephoto).

The front 20-megapixel camera will be retractable. Presumably there will be a 4000 mAh battery with support for high-speed 27-watt recharging. It is alleged that Redmi K20 Pro will get an infrared emitter to use the device as a remote control.

Redmi K20, in turn, can receive a Snapdragon 730 chip. It is expected that both models will be available in versions with 6 or 8 GB of RAM. In addition, they are likely to come in versions with 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal flash memory. Both allegedly have several color options, including red, black and blue.
