Resident Evil 3 (2020) is modeled after remake of the second part β€” a view from behind the shoulder of the main character, photogrammetry technology to create detailed three-dimensional models.

Resident Evil 3 takes place during Resident Evil 2, providing a different perspective on the disaster that befell Raccoon City. The main character of the game, Jill Valentine, is tasked with getting out of the chaos-ridden city.

In addition to Jill, in Resident Evil 3 you will also have the opportunity to control Carlos Oliveira, a soldier of the Umbrella biological contamination countermeasures service. Unlike the second part, the game is not divided into campaigns (scenarios) for different characters.

Opposing Jill and her allies in Resident Evil 3 will be Nemesis, a biological weapon similar to the Tyrant from the second game. The new version of the mutant is smarter than the previous one and can handle weapons, including a rocket launcher.

Included with the Resident Evil 3 remake is Resident Evil Resistance (formerly known as Project Resistance), a four-versus-one multiplayer action game announced at Tokyo Games Show 2019.

As a bonus for pre-ordering (at the time of writing the game is not yet available for purchase), including the standard edition, the developers are giving away a set of classic costumes from the original Resident Evil 3.

Resident Evil 3 was originally released in 1999 on the first PlayStation, just a year after the release of the second part. Compared to the sequel, character control has been improved in the new game - mechanics for dodging and quick reversals have appeared.
